Slab Measurement

Measurement of cold and hot slabs in all dimensions using 1D and 2D sensors.
  • Determination of length, width, thickness, and profile
  • Accuracy < 1 mm
  • Material temperatures up to 1350 °C
  • Vibration-damped measuring frame with air purging/cooling for high measurement accuracy

Inline Ring Measurement

Inline ring measurement systems are installed in the production flow and measure the ring with high cycle time. Scope of supply:

  • Robot with 2D sensor
  • Measuring bridge above the roller table
  • Hydraulic lifting/lowering device to bring the ring into measuring position
  • Pusher for positioning of the ring on the roller table
  • Safety fences, hydraulic units, etc.

Stationary Ring Measurement

Stationary(offline) ring measurement systems are used for measuring cold and hot rings in all dimensions.

By means of three or more 2D triangulation sensors, a 2D cross-sectional image of the ring is generated.
This image is transformed into a 3D representation by rotating the ring on a turntable.

Scanner-based Material Tracking

Compact system for pipe measurement with cameras and triangulation sensors. Operates with hot and cold material. Up to 5 high‑resolution cameras for image acquisition.

Billet Measurement

Measurement of hot and cold billets/blooms.

Laser Doppler sensors for length determination, 1D and 2D triangulation sensors for thickness/height/profile.
Applications for online quality control and determination of cutting position (shear control).
