Measurement of cold and hot slabs in all dimensions using 1D and 2D sensors.
Determination of length, width, thickness, and profile
Accuracy < 1 mm
Material temperatures up to 1350 °C
Vibration-damped measuring frame with air purging/cooling for high measurement accuracy
Inline Ring Measurement
Inline ring measurement systems are installed in the production flow and measure the ring with high cycle time. Scope of supply:
Robot with 2D sensor
Measuring bridge above the roller table
Hydraulic lifting/lowering device to bring the ring into measuring position
Pusher for positioning of the ring on the roller table
Safety fences, hydraulic units, etc.
Stationary Ring Measurement
Stationary(offline) ring measurement systems are used for measuring cold and hot rings in all dimensions.
By means of three or more 2D triangulation sensors, a 2D cross-sectional image of the ring is generated. This image is transformed into a 3D representation by rotating the ring on a turntable.
Scanner-based Material Tracking
English Translation
Scanner-based material tracking and measurement on roller tables for slabs and other flat products
Resolution <10 cm
Seamless tracking over long distances through multiple interacting 2D scanners
Integration of additional sensors such as light barriers, encoders, cameras
Interfaces to Level 1 (roller table and furnace PLC) and Level 2 (process computer)
Applications for tracking and slab positioning in front of furnaces
Pipe Measurement
Compact system for pipe measurement with cameras and triangulation sensors. Operates with hot and cold material. Up to 5 high‑resolution cameras for image acquisition.
Billet Measurement
Measurement of hot and cold billets/blooms.
Laser Doppler sensors for length determination, 1D and 2D triangulation sensors for thickness/height/profile. Applications for online quality control and determination of cutting position (shear control).
