Container Logistics
Transparent container movements and efficient transport coordination across the yard
Container yards require an accurate overview of inventory, locations and ongoing movements. High traffic volumes, changing yard occupancy and different handling equipment make manual coordination increasingly difficult. LogoTek combines warehouse management, equipment tracking and optical identification to create a reliable digital image of the yard and support efficient container logistics.
LTWMS can be configured for the individual yard layout and storage concept. Its 2D and 3D visualization shows container locations, occupied areas and current movements. Storage rules and restrictions help select suitable positions, while transport orders can be created and assigned to cranes, trucks or other handling equipment. Interfaces to existing planning and control systems ensure that logistics data remains available across the operational workflow.
Depending on the project and handling equipment, suitable positioning technologies can include radar, laser distance sensors, LIDAR or RTK GPS. Process and sensor data update container movements in the warehouse system. Optical identification provides an additional verification point: camera systems can read paint-marked container codes as well as barcodes and 2D codes under demanding industrial conditions. Mobile clients allow operators to access or confirm information directly in the yard, including in environments with unstable network connectivity.
