Heavy Plate Production

Integrated solutions for reliable production processes and efficient plate logistics

Heavy plate production requires robust equipment, precise process control and transparent logistics. Plates pass through cutting, levelling, marking, inspection, intermediate storage and dispatch, often under demanding environmental conditions. LogoTek connects industrial automation, special-purpose machinery and warehouse management to improve process stability and maintain a consistent material flow across these production stages.

For plate logistics, LTWMS can manage material locations, storage-yard occupancy and transport orders. Material tracking can extend across roller tables and cooling beds; where plates are handled with lifting magnets, position detection can be integrated into the magnet lifting beam. OCR provides an additional means of verifying plate identification. Configurable layouts, storage rules and restrictions support the selection of suitable storage locations, while 2D and 3D visualization gives operators an up-to-date overview of the yard. Interfaces to production planning, plant control and connected handling equipment enable material movements and processing status to be recorded throughout the workflow.

LogoTek also develops and modernizes equipment for plate-processing lines. The portfolio includes automation, drive and hydraulic upgrades for cutting lines and plate levellers, as well as heavy-duty roller tables with lifting, lowering and positioning functions. For permanent product marking, online pin-stamping systems can apply alphanumeric characters and graphics, with position control and camera-based inspection of the marking. Paint-marking solutions can be integrated with the production computer and basic automation.
